Isaiah Phillips decided just over two years ago he wanted to be a boxer. Now at 8-1, his dream is well underway.

HIBBING — Isaiah Phillips had never boxed before when he walked into the Iron Range Boxing Club in Hibbing a little over two years ago.

The 2022 Grand Rapids High School graduate always had an interest in boxing, but there wasn't a lot of opportunity in Grand Rapids to pursue it. He ran a little track in high school but never found his true passion until he put on a pair of boxing gloves.
